A turnip is one of those root veggies that often gets overlooked.
I’ll admit that I was one who snubbed her nose to this slightly bitter tasting root veggie until I found that when sliced thin and paired with this Spinach Pesto it is amazingly delicious.
Similar to radishes, raw turnips are both Smart and Sexy as they serve as a digestive aid and are good for a general detoxification.
I think you’ll find this little treat is filling, satisfying and all around delicious! It’s great as an appetizer, snack or even a side.
