Nori & Dulse– These sea veggies are sexy because they both provide one of the broadest ranges of minerals of any food.
Dulse (and Nori) help to cleanse the body of heavy metals and supports healthy brain function.
Nori is considered the healthiest edible paper Nori is what Sushi is wrapped in. Munching on Nori is a great, easy snack too!
Pumpkin Seeds–Just ¼ cup of pumpkin seeds contains almost half of the recommended amount of magnesium, which is great to keep your heart pumping and your body relaxed.
Trust me, when you bring this to a party, everyone will love you for it!
Sea Caesar Salad
1/3 cup vegan mayonnaise
¼ cup olive oil
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 ½ teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon maple syrup or brown rice syrup
A few drops Worcestershire sauce
1 ½ cloves garlic, minced or ½ teaspoon garlic powder
Sea salt to taste
2 heads romaine lettuce, washed and dried
¼ cup toasted pumpkin seeds
1 sheet nori sea vegetable, cut into small strips with a kitchen scissors
1 tablespoon dulse flakes
In a small bowl, combine all dressing ingredients and whisk until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasonings to taste.
Slice or tear romaine lettuce into bite sized pieces, and place in a big salad bowl. Add pumpkin seeds, nori strips and dulse flakes. Pour dressing over salad and toss just before serving.
